Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced software leader to turn AI capabilities into trusted products. You’ll work close to users, decisions, and production code, owning end-to-end slices from concept to deployment in a hybrid US-focused environment.

The role emphasizes testable hypotheses, responsible AI, and cross-functional collaboration across product, design, domain, platform, and control teams. Travel up to 50% is expected and relocation not required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking customer- or employee-facing software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth: strong full-stack capability across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience: hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar AI patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for systems with variable or probabilistic outputs.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery, and performance improvement.
• User-centered practice: working directly with users, designers, and product leaders to turn evidence into better product decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specifications, maintainable code, thoughtful review, and sound trade-offs.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and flexibility to go into the office in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user by working with users and domain experts to understand workflows and identify AI-driven value.
• Test assumptions quickly by turning hypotheses into prototypes and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.
• Shape AI behavior through instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build an evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Connect outcomes to behavior by instrumenting user journeys and monitoring system metrics.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permission boundaries, data handling, and rollback.
• Own production quality by releasing incrementally and monitoring live behavior.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and evaluation assets to the platform.
