Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll work as an end-to-end builder, close to users, product decisions, and production code, connecting the pieces that turn an AI demonstration into a real product.

The role requires founder-like ownership with fast learning and a bias for testing assumptions early. You may move from user conversations to prototypes, secure services, and production improvements within the same cycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: take software from concept to launch, learning and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data and cloud tech.
• Applied AI experience: building products with LLMs, retrieval, tools, or similar.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user: work with users and domain experts to uncover real workflows and value.
• Test assumptions quickly: turn hypotheses into prototypes and small releases.
• Own complete product slices: build coherent verticals across experience, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and automated evaluations for usefulness and safety.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys to relate adoption to system metrics.
• Engineer for responsible use: define permissions, data handling, and safe degradation.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor, and recover from incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components while owning performance.
