Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into practical products. You’ll own end-to-end slices, work close to users, and connect product decisions with production code. The role emphasizes speed, accessibility, maintainability, and responsible AI use in a hybrid office setting.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, shape AI behavior, and build an evidence system to demonstrate value and safety while delivering durable product improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience demonstrated in delivering software from concept to launch.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• End-to-end delivery of customer- or employee-facing software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies, shown in shipped work.
• Hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or AI patterns.
• Evidence of automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement ownership.
• Experience working with users, designers, and product leaders to turn evidence into better product decisions.
• Clear specifications, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, and sensible trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and work with users and domain experts to identify high-value AI improvements.
• Test assumptions quickly by turning hypotheses into small, evaluable releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, and tools; adapt only when evidence supports it.
• Build automated evaluations to show usefulness, correctness, accessibility, and safety.
• Instrument journeys to relate adoption to system behavior, latency, failures, and cost.
• Ensure responsible use with clear permission boundaries and secure data handling.
• Release incrementally, monitor live behavior, and recover from incidents.
• Balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost with deterministic software when needed.
• Share reusable patterns and evaluation assets while staying accountable for performance.
