Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You will work close to users, decisions, and production code, delivering end-to-end product slices with ownership from concept to rollout.

This role emphasizes safe, scalable AI behavior, testable hypotheses, and rapid iteration within a hybrid, travel-optional environment. You will collaborate across product, design, and platform teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: take software from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud tech.
• Applied AI experience with LLMs, retrieval, tools, or related patterns.
• Evaluation experience with automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership including telemetry, debugging, reliability, and performance.
• User-centered practice with collaboration with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, and sound trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office visits.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and understand real workflows to identify AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly using concise specifications and prototypes.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to link adoption to system behavior and costs.
• Engineer for responsible use with data handling, checks, and rollback.
• Release incrementally, monitor live behavior, and respond to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Share reusable patterns with the broader platform while ensuring performance.
