Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll move from user conversations to prototypes, secure services, and production improvements in a role demanding ownership, disciplined testing, and scalable design.

The position emphasizes end-to-end delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and responsible AI practices, with up to 50% travel and a hybrid office model across US locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud.
• Applied AI experience with LLMs, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience with automated testing and behavior assessment.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, incident response and recovery.
• User-centered practice with direct user, designer, and leadership collaboration.
• Engineering craft with clear specs, maintainable code, and sound trade-offs.
• Travel and on-site requirements: up to 50% travel; hybrid office visits.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user by collaborating with users and domain experts to map workflows and identify AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly through concise specs, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument journeys to relate adoption to system behavior, latency, and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permission boundaries and secure data handling.
• Own production quality with incremental releases, monitoring, and incident response.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and evaluation assets while ensuring performance.
