Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You will work as an end-to-end builder, close to users, decisions, and production code, connecting pieces from a demonstration to a production service.

The role requires founder-like ownership, ability to move from user conversations to prototypes and secure services, with a focus on accessibility, maintainability, and clear rationales in a fast-paced product cycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch, learning and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience with large language models, retrieval, tools, or related patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery.
• User-centered practice: work with users, designers, and product leaders to improve products.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, sound trade-offs.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid office flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user: understand real workflows with users and domain experts.
• Test assumptions quickly: translate hypotheses into prototypes and small releases.
• Own complete product slices: build coherent verticals across experience, services, data and AI behavior.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and automated evaluations for usefulness, correctness, accessibility.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys to relate adoption to system metrics.
• Engineer for responsible use: include permission boundaries, data safety, and rollback paths.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor, and respond to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, reliability and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components and evaluation assets across the platform.
