Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into products people choose to use, trust, and rely on. You will work as an end-to-end builder, close to users, product decisions, and production code, connecting the pieces that turn an AI demonstration into a durable product.

This role suits an engineer with founder-like ownership and the discipline to test assumptions early. You may move from a user conversation to a working prototype, from that prototype to a secure service, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud.
• Applied AI experience with LLMs, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvements.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and leaders to drive decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, and solid trade-offs.
• Travel and On-site: up to 50% travel; hybrid office requirement.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user: understand workflows, observe friction, and identify AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly: turn hypotheses into specs, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices: build verticals across experience, services, data, AI, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and evaluations showing usefulness, correctness, safety, accessibility, and improvement.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys to relate adoption to system metrics.
• Engineer for responsible use: include permission boundaries, secure data handling, checkpoints, graceful degradation, recovery, and rollback.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, respond to incidents, and improve continuously.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components and evaluation assets with the platform.
