Job summary

Akamai is hiring an AI Native Account Executive to drive new logo acquisitions and cloud migrations across the Americas, focusing on Machine Learning and AI training use cases. You will lead multi-channel outreach, own the full sales cycle, and partner with internal teams to execute go-to-market strategies in a fast-growing AI infrastructure environment.

The role requires 5+ years of sales experience, cross-time-zone flexibility, and deep technical/commercial expertise in cloud and data-center

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant sales experience
• Willingness to work across multiple time zones
• Presence at the San Francisco Office to lead by example and strengthen partnerships at the NA HQ
• Deep technical and commercial expertise in power capacity, cooling solutions, and complex financial modeling for large deployments
• Proven track record of navigating and closing massive infrastructure and data center deals
• Experience in Net New Cloud Sales (Infrastructure or Software) in the B2B Enterprise market

Responsibilities

• Execute a global outbound prospecting strategy to generate pipeline and drive new logo acquisitions
• Dedi­cate the majority of weekly focus to outbound initiatives to accelerate top-of-funnel growth
• Design and refine multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, cold calling) with personalized messaging
• Own the complete end-to-end sales cycle from initial engagement to deal closure
• Develop deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and AI computing while collaborating with peers and leadership
