Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Chinese Language Expert (AI Training) to help evaluate and improve AI systems for Chinese language learning. You will apply linguistic insight and teaching experience to shape how AI understands, assesses, and teaches Chinese.

The role is remote, hourly, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, and offers flexible, asynchronous collaboration with project leads and other experts.

Qualifications

• Native-level Chinese proficiency.
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written English skills (CEFR C1/C2).
• Familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Chinese speech and text for linguistic accuracy and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre-A1 to B2+.
• Identify learner errors and pedagogical gaps; suggest improvements for natural, idiomatic Chinese.
• Provide structured feedback to strengthen AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Chinese Language Expert (AI Training)

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated Chinese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Apply expert judgment to identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate Chinese
• Provide structured feedback that strengthens AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language
• Strong written communication skills in English (C1/C2 level)
• Solid familiarity with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
