Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Japanese Language Expert to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Japanese content. This remote hourly contract offers flexible scheduling and the chance to impact how AI teaches Japanese to learners worldwide.

You will analyze AI-generated Japanese and provide actionable feedback, collaborating asynchronously with project leads and other language experts. Minimum commitment begins at 15 hours per week with room for ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Japanese.
• Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication in Japanese and English (C1/C2).
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment.
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and pedagogically sound Japanese.
• Provide structured feedback that directly improves AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Who You Are
