Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to advance internal AI capabilities within HDR’s Transportation Business Group.

You will design and deploy AI solutions, build scalable data pipelines, and manage full model lifecycles, improving data foundations across HDR’s projects. Initially focused on internal delivery, the role will gradually shift toward client-facing advisory work and repeatable AI services.

Qualifications

• Degree in a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years experience with data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Power Query, and Pandas.
• 3+ years experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, and Matplotlib.
• 3+ years experience with data science languages such as Python and R.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional, multitasking capable.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to handle confidential information and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Internal AI capability development: design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for internal transportation needs.
• Build reusable AI components, data pipelines, and scalable workflows for future client delivery.
• Manage full model lifecycle including development, deployment, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and inference.
