Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to build internal AI capabilities, improve data foundations, and identify bottlenecks across HDR’s Transportation Business Group. The role progresses toward client-facing AI delivery and advisory work as capabilities mature.

You will design scalable AI solutions, develop reusable data pipelines, and manage full model lifecycles from development to inference. Collaboration with IT and business stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with data engineering tools and languages (SQL, Power Query, Pandas).
• 3+ years experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
• 3+ years experience with Python and R for data science.

Responsibilities

• Internal AI capability development including design, build, deploy of AI solutions.
• Identify data, tooling, and process bottlenecks and propose scalable improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate problems into AI solutions and communicate concepts clearly.
• Support client pursuits and contribute to repeatable AI services and offerings.
