HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement within the Transportation Business Group.

This high-impact individual contributor role focuses on building internal AI capabilities, improving data foundations, and removing bottlenecks to scale AI across HDR’s transportation operations. As capabilities mature, the role will transition to client-facing AI delivery and advisory work, leveraging internally proven solutions as repeatable services, while collaborating across disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with generative AI and modern AI services.
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining data and AI solutions in cloud environments.
• Experience managing end-to-end data science projects and model lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Internal AI Capability Development: design, develop, deploy AI solutions addressing internal needs.
• Build reusable AI components, data pipelines, and scalable workflows.
• Manage full model lifecycle including development, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and inference.
• Future Client-Facing Work: support client pursuits and pilot projects using internal capabilities.
