Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to build internal AI capabilities within HDR’s Transportation Business Group.

The role focuses on data, tooling, and model lifecycle, with an initial internal emphasis and later client-facing advisory work. You will collaborate with IT, data architects, and business stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and scale AI solutions across HDR’s global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with SQL, Power Query, Pandas.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, and Matplotlib.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Python and R.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional; multitasking required.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and production model deployment.
• Experience managing end-to-end data science projects.

Responsibilities

• Internal AI capability development and deploying AI solutions for internal needs.
• Identify data and tooling bottlenecks and propose scalable improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, data architects, and stakeholders to translate problems into AI solutions.
• Prepare for future client-facing AI delivery and advisory work.
