Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a senior solution designer to own the Discover, Define, and Design stages of the Salesforce Delivery Methodology. You will translate customer requirements into clear, buildable designs and collaborate with Delivery Managers, Architects, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of solution design, architecture, or technical consulting experience, preferably in SaaS and/or professional services.
• Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale solutions involving collaboration, workflow, or integration platforms
• Working knowledge of (or ability to quickly ramp on) the Salesforce Delivery Methodology and Slack/Slack AI product capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguity and competing requirements to land on the right design
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical design decisions to both customer stakeholders and delivery teams
• Hands-on familiarity with integration patterns and API-based architecture, ideally including Salesforce products
• A collaborative mindset — comfortable partnering with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and customers to reach a shared design
• Natural curiosity, a love of learning, and a habit of sharing design knowledge and patterns with others
• Familiarity with Salesforce products and how they integrate with Slack (e.g., Agentforce, Sales/Service Cloud notifications) is a plus, though not required

Responsibilities

• Own solution design across the Discover, Define, and Design stages of the Salesforce Delivery Methodology, translating customer requirements into clear, buildable solution designs
• Evaluate and recommend the right mix of out-of-the-box Slack/Slack AI capabilities (search & summaries, huddle notes, Workflow Builder, native Slackbot capabilities, Agentforce integrations) versus custom configuration, always favoring the simplest viable path
• Partner closely with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and customer stakeholders to align solution design with scope, timeline, and success measures
• Produce and maintain solution design artifacts — architecture diagrams, functional specs, configuration workbooks — that development and QA teams can build against
• Lead design workshops with customer technical and business stakeholders, facilitating trade-off discussions and driving toward a validated solution
• Proactively surface design risks and work cross-functionally to resolve them before they impact delivery
• Continuously improve design practices and reusable design patterns, incorporating AI-native tooling (e.g., Slackbot skills) to increase design efficiency and consistency across engagements
• Identify integration points with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce) and design cross-cloud solutions that keep Slack at the center of the customer's workflow
• Support post-launch adoption by ensuring the solution design accounts for change management and long-term platform maturity
