Job summary

EY is hiring for a senior cloud/infrastructure role focused on AI-enabled services. You will lead engineering practices to move services from experimentation to production with secure, observable, and cost-aware foundations.

You will guide architecture decisions, ensure reliability, and coach teams while balancing performance and cost across multiple use cases. Hybrid work with travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9–12+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, platform, or SRE.
• Experience designing and operating cloud/infrastructure in production.
• Proven ability to solve complex distributed-system problems.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code, modern runtimes, networking, identity, automation.
• Production reliability: define service objectives, observability, recovery testing.
• Incident leadership: investigate failures and derive durable remediation.
• Automation judgment: strong coding skills to validate AI outputs.
• Cross-team influence: mentor engineers and guide readiness decisions.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid on-site office flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Build shared cloud foundations with reusable infra and deployment automation.
• Use AI-assisted engineering responsibly and review results with rigor.
• Review architectures, migrations, and releases for reliability and cost.
• Define evidence for production readiness and identify changes for non-ready services.
• Establish service objectives, observability standards, and actionable alerts.
• Test workload assumptions and guide scaling decisions with data.
• Lead deep investigations into failures and verify root causes.
• Design resilience tests, recovery exercises, and rollback paths.
• Publish reference implementations, guidance and runbooks for reuse.
• Coach engineers and transition capabilities to ongoing owners.
