Job summary

EY seeks a senior cloud and SRE engineer to lead AI-enabled infrastructure initiatives across production services. You will design and operate secure, observable, and cost-aware cloud foundations, review architectures, and guide resilience and performance decisions.

You will mentor teams, publish reusable runbooks, and drive readiness through evidence-based practices, with up to 50% travel and hybrid office attendance in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure, or site reliability.
• Proven ability to design and operate production cloud capabilities.
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and modern runtimes.
• Experience defining service objectives, observability, and recovery testing.
• Proven incident leadership and durable remediation experience.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture without formal ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build shared cloud foundations and deployment automation.
• Apply AI-assisted tools while reviewing and validating results.
• Review architectures and releases for reliability and cost trade-offs.
• Define evidence for production readiness before launch.
• Establish service objectives and observability standards.
• Guide capacity planning and scaling decisions with data.
• Lead deep investigations of failures and durable fixes.
• Design resilience tests and rollback paths.
• Publish reusable reference implementations and runbooks.
• Coach engineers and transfer capabilities to owners.
