Job summary

Mews is seeking a PayOps Analyst to be the operational heartbeat of our Payment Operations. You’ll monitor payout flows, incidents, and KPIs across Stripe and Adyen, helping merchants get paid accurately and on time.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams, use AI tools to surface insights, and improve runbooks and dashboards. This role fits a data-driven communicator ready to own incident handling from detection to resolution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in payments, operations or fintech.
• Experience with PSPs, Stripe and/or Adyen.
• Strong knowledge of card acquiring and payout processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data usage.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack and dashboards; Power BI/Databricks is a plus.
• Clear cross-team communication.
• AI fluency and ability to use Claude in daily work.
• Regulated financial services experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness and fee accuracy across Stripe and Adyen.
• Log and manage incidents in the Jira Service Portal from triage to close.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and share insights with PayOps Manager.
• Support operational readiness checklists for onboarding and launches.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech and PSPs to resolve escalations.
• Prepare weekly KPI reporting and monthly vendor performance summaries.
• Maintain the runbook library for recurring issues.
• Flag recurring incidents into the Operational Risk Register.
• Track PSP and vendor SLA adherence and report to PayOps Manager.
• Draft first-line merchant communications for outages with final approval.
