EY’s Challenger Core seeks an experienced AI engineer to turn AI demonstrations into durable products. You’ll work end-to-end from user conversations to prototypes, secure services, and production evaluation, emphasizing accessibility, maintainability, and evidence-based decisions.

This role requires strong full-stack capability and applied AI experience, with up to 50% travel and hybrid office options across the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth: full-stack across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud.
• Applied AI experience: building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement.

Responsabilités

• Start with the user and understand real workflows with domain experts.
• Test assumptions quickly with prototypes and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption and system behavior to cost and latency.
• Engineer for responsible use with data handling, checkpoints, and rollback.
• Own production quality by releasing incrementally and monitoring live behavior.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and evaluation assets across the platform.
