Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Account Solution Engineer for the Global Public Sector Solution Engineering team. You will collaborate with sales, product experts, and partners to develop tailored AI and data-driven education solutions, addressing institutional challenges and driving transformation across the student lifecycle.

You will lead demonstrations, respond to RFPs, and align Salesforce products with higher education goals, including Agentforce for Education and Data360. Travel ~40% is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS.
• 7+ years of combined experience with Salesforce or other CRM solutions, education focus.
• 5+ years in solution engineering, consulting, enterprise software delivery, or customer success.
• Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Certifications, Salesforce-preferred.
• Deep understanding of education operations and student lifecycle management.
• Strong technical acumen with Salesforce or similar platforms in sales/implementation contexts.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills across stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead discovery sessions and craft tailored solutions.
• Experience with RFPs and proposals; strong time management; travel up to ~40%.
• Salesforce certifications including Administrator, Education Cloud Consultant, Data 360, Experience Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solution Cycle with account teams to drive technical sales activities.
• Understand institutional needs and map to Salesforce solutions for higher education.
• Present tailored demonstrations aligning to strategic and technical goals.
• Translate education processes into actionable technology solutions.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs/RFIs with clear value demonstrations.
• Collaborate across teams to align Salesforce solutions with institutional needs.
• Stay ahead of education and CRM trends to inform solution recommendations.
• Meet quarterly and annual engagement and revenue objectives.
• Invest in professional growth and participate in training and certifications.
• Drive consumption and value realization through workshops and health checks.
• Develop Agentforce and Data360 use cases with POCs and deep dives.
