Job summary

Salesforce recruits an Account Solution Engineer for the Global Public Sector, education-focused team to modernize operations, enhance student experiences, and enable AI-enabled transformation across institutions.

You will lead technical conversations, craft tailored demonstrations (including Agentforce for Education), and support RFP/RFI responses while collaborating with sales, product, and services teams. Willingness to travel ~40% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level or higher in a technical field related to software or MIS.
7+ years of experience with Salesforce or other CRM solutions, focused on education.
5+ years in solution engineering, consulting, enterprise software delivery, or customer success.
AI and/or data certifications, Salesforce-preferred, related to generative AI and LLM concepts.
Deep understanding of education operations (student lifecycle, registrar, advising, financial aid, etc).
Strong technical acumen with enterprise platforms in sales/implementation contexts.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead discovery sessions and craft tailored solutions for digital transformation in higher education.
Experience with RFP and proposal processes.
Strong time management and prioritization for multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Curiosity and passion for technology; stay ahead of education and CRM trends.
Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with sales, services, product, and partners.
Open to travel (~40%).
Salesforce certifications including Administrator, Education Cloud Consultant, Data 360 Cert, and Experience Cloud.
Experience with Agentforce for Education, Salesforce Industries (Vlocity), OmniScript, or Industry Common Components is a plus.

Lead the Solution Cycle from discovery to close with account teams and partners.
Understand institutional needs and map them to Salesforce solutions for higher education.
Position Salesforce as a strategic partner with tailored demonstrations (Agentforce for Education).
Translate education processes into technology solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
Collaborate across teams to align Salesforce solutions with institutional needs.
Stay ahead of industry trends and educate teams with insights.
Meet quarterly/annual performance goals for customer engagement and revenue.
Invest in professional growth via training and certifications.
Drive consumption, value realization, and adoption through workshops and health checks.
Develop and scope AI/Data use cases, including POCs and technical deep-dives.
