Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to develop K-12 assessments for state and district clients in the United States. You will work as a content and assessment expert, collaborating with educators and partners to create standards-based assessments accessible to all students.

You will develop and review test items, blueprints, and ancillary documents, while leveraging AI tools to enhance content and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support assessment content development and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Train item writers and educators to develop items based on standards and best practices.
• Facilitate customer meetings and test construction activities.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies in educational content creation.
