Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist to join Content Development to create and review K-12 assessment content for state and district clients across the United States. You will collaborate with education departments and educators to ensure standards-based, accessible assessments.

You will leverage AI-powered tools for content development, participate in item development, and help train writers. Strong communication and adaptability to evolving AI are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• 5 years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content area and educational trends.
• Experience with large-scale educational assessment preferred.
• Proficiency in AI-supported content development and evaluating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across multiple formats.
• Help create item and test specifications and blueprints.
• Use AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in workflows.
• Select, train, and manage item writers and educators to develop standards-based items.
• Assist in customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Support test construction and review of test forms.
• Consult with customers in planning and reviews.
• Work with Pearson teams including psychometricians and content developers.
