Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to create and review K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will work as a content and assessment expert, leveraging AI to develop standards-based items and ensure accessibility.

You will lead item development, collaborate with educators and psychometricians, and stay abreast of AI advances to enhance assessment content across grade levels. This role offers opportunities to influence learning nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as a teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted content development.
• Familiarity prompting and evaluating AI-generated content.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels.
• Develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to ensure quality and accessibility of content.
• Collaborate to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select and train item writers and educators for item development.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Assist in test construction and review of composed test forms.
• Consult with customers and participate in planning and status meetings.
• Collaborate with test development managers, psychometricians, and Pearson groups.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies relevant to content creation.
