Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to develop and review K-12 assessments for state and district clients in the United States. You will work as a content and assessment expert, leveraging AI-powered tools to ensure accessible, standards-based content.

Responsibilities include item development, test blueprints, collaboration with educators, and guiding writers. Compensation ranges reflect market in-house policies, with an annual incentive program and benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience.
Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field preferred.
Experience with AI-assisted content development and education content.
Strong focus on accessibility and quality in assessment development.

Responsibilities

Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
Help develop item, passage, and test specifications and blueprints.
Leverage AI-powered tools to support development and enhancement of assessment content.
Collaborate with team members to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
Select, manage, and train item writers and educators to develop items based on standards.
Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
Stay current with emerging technologies in educational content and AI.
