Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Analyst I to learn consumer lending fundamentals while performing scoped analytics to optimize portfolio performance. You will work under senior analysts to deliver data-driven insights and support risk, product, and growth initiatives.

In this role you will write SQL and Python to build reports, monitor trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You’ll engage with AI tools to streamline workflows and strengthen decision making.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of analytical experience, esp. in consumer finance or fintech.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with data mining, visualization, and basic statistics.
• Understanding of consumer lending regulations and fair lending principles.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights to optimize product, risk, or growth strategies across geographies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance metrics and trends.
• Write clean SQL and Python to build scalable reporting and support ML models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance on data models and policies.
• Support new product launches and market entries with data-driven alignment.
• Adopt AI tools to accelerate data mining and routine tasks.
