Job summary

AviaryAI in Chicago, IL, is seeking a forward deployed engineer to translate contracts into live AI agents for credit union members. You will sit between client and platform, shaping prompts, flows, and guardrails to meet targets.

You'll own the integration surface, diagnose issues from logs and data, and drive improvements after launch. This role demands clear communication with executives and hands-on problem solving in production.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with JSON configs, SQL, and reading logs.
• Have shipped a deployment or data pipeline and owned outcomes.
• Able to explain agent decisions to credit union executives.
• Clear and precise written specs and bug reports.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch agents. Configure the agent for each client's use case: the prompt, the call flow, the transfer and escalation logic, the guardrails, the SMS fallback. Test it against real scenarios before a single member hears it.
• Own the integration surface. Define the data spec with client, map core banking fields, set up file delivery, verify data integrity.
• Read the logs and fix what you find. Diagnose issues from call logs and data; run SQL against call health; reproduce for engineering if needed.
• Own the outcome after launch. Define success criteria before kickoff and iterate prompts, timing, and flow until targets are met.
• Run the client relationship at the operator level. Lead weekly calls with client ops and outcomes; explain agent behavior in plain terms.
• Make the next deployment faster. Create templates, checklists and docs to speed future deployments.
• Feed the product. Provide feedback from production to shape product roadmap.
