Scale is shaping the future of AI by building RL environments and data-driven platforms. As the Data Acquisition Lead, you will own the commercial motion end to end, identifying data-rich domains and partnerships, and translating business needs for research and engineering teams.

You will map supply, devise deal structures with legal, and drive the end-to-end closing process—from cold outreach to signature—while building a repeatable data acquisition pipeline in a fast-moving, high-growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years across business development, corp dev, commercial strategy, or early-stage GTM.
• Proven track record of managing important external relationships.
• Strong business judgment and ability to evaluate partnership value quickly.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently while staying closely connected to cross-functional teams.
• Practical hands-on approach to building new functions from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Map the supply side by identifying labs and data-holding organizations and building a thesis on domain priorities.
• Invent deal structures with Scale's legal team for initial pricing and terms.
• Close deals from cold outreach to signature.
• Coordinate with the technical side to discuss dataset trainability and data value.
• Build a repeatable data-acquisition pipeline after initial hands-on work.
