Job summary

Be in San Francisco is hiring a Business Development Representative to help build the company's first revenue team. This on-site role focuses on outbound prospecting to researchers and technical decision-makers at leading AI labs.

You will work closely with the Head of Revenue to shape messaging and playbooks, owning outbound efforts from day one and driving high-quality meetings and pipeline.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of outbound BDR/SDR or early-stage startup sales experience.
• Outbound prospecting targeting technical buyers (R&D teams, engineers, data scientists).
• Technical or quantitative academic background (CS, data science, STEM, or finance).

Responsibilities

• Research frontier AI lab researchers and craft bespoke, technically credible outreach.
• Run outbound campaigns across multiple channels to generate meetings and pipeline.
• Partner with the founding team to define ICPs, messaging, and outbound playbook.
• Stay current on AI research trends to inform outreach and conversations.
• Represent the company at AI/ML conferences, meetups, and events.
