Job summary

BMO Financial Group in the United States is seeking a senior audit professional focused on AI governance, Responsible AI, and risk management to lead and execute AI-related audits.

You will assess design and effectiveness of governance, validate controls, and provide actionable insights to management and the Board to strengthen oversight of AI enabled processes and mitigate operational and reputational risks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant audit experience in financial services or related field.
• Verbal & written communication skills – in-depth/expert.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities – in-depth/expert.
• Influence skills – in-depth/expert.
• Able to manage ambiguity and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audits focused on AI governance, Generative AI, LLMs and AI-enabled processes.
• Provide independent assurance on AI controls and oversight processes.
• Meet regularly with stakeholders to align audits with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Develop annual AI audit plan aligned to risk and strategy; guide scope and priorities.
• Hire, onboard, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality audit deliverables.
