Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a leader to design and execute audits focused on AI governance, Responsible AI, and risk management across AI-enabled processes. The role evaluates bias, explainability, privacy, and regulatory compliance while validating controls such as human oversight, monitoring, and inventory governance.

The incumbent will provide independent assurance, identify emerging AI risks, and deliver actionable insights to management and the Board to strengthen governance and mitigate

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.

• Data driven decision making - In-depth / Expert.
• Professional designations such as: CIA, CISA, CPA or CRISC

Responsibilities

• Provides independent assurance on AI control environments and oversight processes.
• Leads audits focusing on Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-enabled processes.
• Develops communications to management and the Board highlighting risks, controls, and governance improvements.
• Oversees risk management practices and ensures regulatory alignment.
