Job summary

Bank of America seeks a Business Control Manager to lead internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business or Enterprise Control Function. You will drive adherence to enterprise standards, support QA processes, and build remediation plans to strengthen risk governance.

You will partner across governance, risk, compliance, and audit to oversee AI governance, control testing, and proactive risk mitigation, delivering measurable value for the firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Audit, Compliance, or Risk within financial services.
• Experience supporting AI governance and oversight activities.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and build a function, operating model, and/or team from the ground up.
• Proven success leading large-scale control, testing, risk, or operating model transformation initiatives across multiple business groups.

Responsibilities

• Represent GEAR in enterprise AI governance forums, councils, steering committees, and Business Controls workgroups.
• Translate AI strategy, governance standards, and risk expectations into practical requirements for GEAR stakeholders.
• Lead the assessment of design and effectiveness of risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services.
• Identify responsible AI opportunities that improve processes, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and deliver measurable value.
• Manage the AI opportunity pipeline from ideation and governance review through implementation, adoption, benefits measurement, and scale.
• Coordinate required risk assessments, approvals, documentation, readiness activities, and stakeholder engagement for AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead governance routines, including agendas, materials, minutes, decision records, action tracking, and follow-up reporting.
• Define adherence measures, control performance indicators, issue themes, governance outcomes, and remediation progress.
