Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior Business Control Manager focused on internal control discipline and operational excellence across a line of business or enterprise control function. The role leads quality assurance, testing, and risk-based controls to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

You will drive governance for AI-enabled solutions, coordinate risk assessments, and partner with operations, legal, risk, compliance, and audit to achieve sustainable risk

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Audit, Compliance, or Risk in financial services.
• Experience with AI governance, risk management, and controls for AI.
• Ability to build a function and operating model from scratch.
• Proven track record leading large control, risk, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong written and oral communication for senior management.

Responsibilities

• Represent GEAR in AI governance forums and related workgroups.
• Translate AI strategy and risk expectations into practical requirements.
• Assess design and effectiveness of risk and control environments.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual effort.
• Manage AI opportunities from ideation to adoption and measurement.
• Coordinate risk assessments, approvals, and stakeholder readiness for AI solutions.
• Lead governance routines, reporting, and escalation for control oversight.
• Design governance frameworks to meet policy requirements and regulatory standards.
• Monitor adherence measures and remediation progress across teams.
