The Atlantic District in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Insurance Agent to develop and grow a local client base by understanding the unique insurance needs of individuals and businesses in the community.

You will prepare tailored coverage proposals, maintain proactive communication with clients, and collaborate with the team to enhance service. This role offers a supportive culture, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth in a community-focused agency.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
• Strong communication skills with focus on building rapport.
• Experience managing a book of business or in a customer-facing sales role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a client base by understanding the insurance needs of locals and businesses.
• Prepare customized coverage proposals addressing risks for each policyholder.
• Maintain active communication with current clients to ensure protection plans adjust to life changes.
• Collaborate with the team to improve customer service approaches.
• Manage daily administrative tasks related to policy applications and renewals with attention to detail.
• Participate in local community events to increase agency visibility and build relationships.
