Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking an Agent in Training in Michigan to start a lasting career in insurance sales, client relationships, and agency operations. The role includes paid training, hands-on experience, and the foundation to lead or own an agency in the future.

During training, you will work with clients, learn growth strategies, and build a book of business, with base salary after training plus commissions and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in sales, business development and long-term career growth.
• Ability to generate new business and manage a sales pipeline.
• Comfort learning licensing requirements and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business via inbound/outbound sales including phone, text, email and virtual outreach.
• Conduct cold and warm calls to prospective customers and referrals to build a sales pipeline.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries and prospects to identify coverage needs and close opportunities.
• Attend local events and build partnerships to create referral opportunities.
• Meet with customers to review current coverage and tailor insurance solutions.
• Educate clients on coverage options and risk protection strategies.
• Provide excellent service handling policy changes, renewals and claims support.
• Maintain accurate activity, pipeline and client records in CRM.
• Stay current on Farmers products and promotions to present solutions confidently.
