Qualifications

• Must have Michigan Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health licenses or willingness to obtain them.
• Willingness to work in-office in Michigan; remote options available.
• Free pre-licensing education offered if not licensed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound/outbound sales activities (phone, text, email, virtual).
• Conduct cold and warm calling to build a sales pipeline with prospective customers and referral sources.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and walk-ins to identify coverage needs and close opportunities.
• Build community relationships by attending local events, networking, and developing partnerships for referrals.
• Meet with customers in person, by phone, or virtually to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Educate clients on coverage options, risk exposures, and protection strategies.
• Deliver a high level of service by handling policy changes, questions, renewals, and claims support.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the book of business to increase value.
• Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and CRM records.
• Stay current on Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, coverage options, and promotions.
• Support agency growth goals by meeting production and activity targets.
• Collaborate with the agency team to improve processes and share best practices.
