Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking an Agent in Training in Michigan to learn how an agency operates while developing skills for agency leadership or ownership. The role includes paid training, then a competitive base salary with commission and bonuses, and hands-on learning across sales and operations.

You'll work with licensed agents and leadership, build a book of business, and gain exposure to sales development, customer relationships, and policy servicing within a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in-office in Michigan.
• Active Michigan property & casualty and life, accident & health licenses or willingness to obtain them.
• Free pre-licensing education available to meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound and outbound sales activities.
• Conduct cold and warm calls to build a consistent sales pipeline.
• Meet with customers to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Educate clients on coverage options and risk exposures to aid informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate activity and CRM records to support growth.
