Selective Insurance in Providence, RI is seeking an Agency Relationship Manager to serve as the liaison between the company and our agent network, supporting regional underwriting teams and corporate departments to drive profitable growth.

You will assess agent strengths, promote Selective initiatives, monitor results, and ensure compliance with policies. Travel within territory is 40–50% by car.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 5+ years underwriting, marketing or field underwriting experience.
• 3 years Agency Management, rating experience preferred.
• 2 years Claims, Loss Control inspections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an agency force that pre-qualifies accounts and writes profitable business.
• Makes consistent underwriting decisions and promotes easy business with Selective.
• Monitors agency results and follows up on growth, profitability and compliance.
• Develop professional relationships with agents and internal teams.
• Maintain two-way communication and encourage use of Selective systems.
• Performs inspections and documents findings with accuracy.
• Stay alert to industry information and new carrier ideas.
