Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a results-driven Relationship Manager to serve as a liaison between the company and agents, supporting regional underwriting and corporate departments. The role focuses on agent new business submissions, profitability growth, and promoting Selective’s underwriting standards and digital tools.

Occasional travel to meet key agency partners is expected. Based in our Indiana operations, you will maintain open two-way communication, support AMS and small business teams,

Qualifications

• Strong marketing skills and ability to drive agency growth.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach with a proactive mindset.
• Superior communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal business software.

Responsibilities

• Works with agents to write new profitable business and achieve agency goals.
• May market and underwrite small business and large accounts per underwriting criteria.
• Maintain high level of communication and service via digital tools.
• Monitor agency results and pursue new business opportunities and compliance.
• Develop professional relationships with agents and internal teams.
• Encourage agent usage of CLAS, PLUS and e-Select.
