Job summary

Qualifications

• Results oriented with a proven track record in achieving business goals.
• Superior communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, flexible, and able to work independently, from a remote location.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal business software.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to drive within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop an agency force that pre-qualifies accounts and writes new profitable business.
• Make consistent underwriting decisions and promote ease of doing business with Selective.
• Monitor agency results and ensure compliance with initiatives and policies.
• Collaborate with regional underwriting, claims, and corporate teams.
• Maintain open two-way communication with agents and encourage use of Selective systems.
• Conduct inspections and document findings with follow-up actions.
• Travel within territory to meet opportunities and grow business (40–50%).
