Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee licensed school-age programs in Katy area, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. You’ll ensure safety, implement YMCA curriculum, and build strong relationships with families and school partners.

This part-time, site-based role emphasizes leadership, program quality, and compliance with licensing requirements. Training and ongoing development are provided, with a mission to help children grow and thrive in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Requires high school diploma or GED and 70 clock hours of relevant training.
• One year of experience with youth in licensed facilities.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Able to pass background checks and TB health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe by supervising and taking attendance.
• Manage site operations as designated Texas licensing Site Director.
• Ensure licensing compliance and safety drills.
• Engage families and school partners, maintain records.
• Plan activities per YMCA curriculum and adapt for all children.
• Coordinate program growth and retention strategies.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records.
• Oversee program quality and evaluation.
