Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program. You will ensure children are safe, engaged, and supported, coordinate daily program operations, implement the YMCA curriculum, maintain licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Pass state/local background checks and FBI fingerprinting.
• Health screenings/immunizations per state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a licensed school-age enrichment program and ensure safety and engagement daily.
• Coordinate program operations, implement YMCA curriculum, and ensure licensing compliance.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Conduct safety drills, maintain records, and oversee site standards.
• Plan activities, monitor behavior, and adapt to diverse needs.
• Communicate progress and concerns to the Program Director.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records and support program growth.
