Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX to oversee a licensed school-age program, ensure safety, and deliver YMCA curricula. You will coordinate operations, supervise staff, and maintain compliance with licensing standards.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, youth development passion, and experience with diverse populations. The role offers part-time hours with a $3/hour stipend in eligible locations, plus benefits and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED with 70 clock hours training; two college courses equal 100 hours.
• At least one year of youth experience in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and FBI fingerprinting.
• TB test and health screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the licensed afterschool program and ensure safety and engagement.
• Coordinate daily operations and implement YMCA curriculum.
• Build relationships with families, school partners, and staff.
• Conduct safety drills, licensing compliance, and accurate records.
• Plan activities and monitor program quality and growth.
• Engage families and communities to support enrollment and retention.
