Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to direct a licensed school-age program, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and supported daily. You will manage operations, implement the YMCA curriculum, and coordinate with families, school partners, and staff across Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD.

This part-time role emphasizes safety, program planning, parent communication, and program growth. A temporary $3.00/hour stipend is available in eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and have at least 1 year of youth work in licensed settings.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Abuse Prevention certifications.
• Strong communication with families, schools, and YMCA staff.
• Pass state/local background checks and TB health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed afterschool program to keep children safe, engaged, and supported.
• Coordinate daily operations and implement YMCA curriculum.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain attendance records.
• Supervise site staff and enforce safety policies.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and adapt to students’ needs.
• Engage families and school partners to support program growth.
• Maintain enrollment records and support program evaluation.
