Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program in Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. You will ensure children's safety, coordinate daily operations, and partner with families and school staff to deliver high-quality programming.

This role emphasizes leadership, safety, and program excellence, with a temporary $3.00/hour stipend on top of base pay for eligible locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum 70 clock hours in child/youth development or related field.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications required or ability to obtain.
• At least one year of experience with youth in licensed childcare or similar settings.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to pass background checks and TB health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a licensed afterschool program ensuring safety and engagement.
• Coordinate daily operations, schedule activities, and maintain records.
• Ensure licensing compliance and proper program postings.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Conduct safety drills and supervise staff.
