Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program in Katy area schools. You will ensure safety, supervise staff, implement the YMCA curriculum, and maintain strong partnerships with families and schools.

This role emphasizes youth development, safety, and program quality in a dynamic afterschool setting. The position offers part-time hours aligned with ISD calendars, opportunities to grow within YMCA operations, and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus 70 clock hours training in child or youth development or management.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities and programming.
• Experience working with youth in licensed childcare facilities or similar settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and background clearance are required (or able to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe by maintaining supervision, attendance, and compliance with licensing.
• Serve as Texas Childcare Licensing Site Director, overseeing daily operations.
• Maintain records, including attendance and incident reports, and ensure safety.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities within YMCA program model and curriculum.
• Engage parents and community, maintaining professional communication and confidentiality.
• Ensure program quality and compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards.
