The YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a part-time Afterschool Program staff member for the Mt. Diablo area, Pleasant Hill, CA.

You will lead classroom activities, plan culturally relevant curriculum, and supervise staff while ensuring safety and program quality for children. This role emphasizes alignment with YMCA values and licensing standards, with collaboration among families, school personnel, and administration.

Qualifications

• Meets CA state licensing requirements including 24 ECE units, 16 GE units, 6 admin units, 15 hours health and safety or equivalent CDP
• 2 years related experience in school-based learning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer programs needed to perform duties

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement culturally relevant curriculum within guidelines and prepare supplies for activities.
• Provide leadership to staff and assist with scheduling and supervision.
• Promote YMCA values and maintain positive relationships with families and staff.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed and report incidents promptly.
• Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and program evaluations.
