YMCA of the East Bay is seeking an Assistant Site Director in Pleasant Hill, CA to work closely with the Site Director and ensure a safe, engaging afterschool program for children. The role involves planning activities, supervising staff, and maintaining licensing compliance to support children’s learning and self-esteem in a supportive environment.

The position requires collaboration with the Site Director, staff supervision, parent communication, and adherence to YMCA philosophies and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AA in ECD preferred.
• Coursework to meet California licensing standards.
• 2 years of experience in professional child care or school-age program.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups from all social/economic backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Site Director in developing and implementing a creative, age-appropriate program.
• Supervise the site in the Site Director's absence.
• Maintain supervision and positive interaction with participants at all times.
• Compile forms, records, and files as requested.
• Maintain group behavioral standards and ensure safety/compliance with licensing.
