YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a part-time childcare leader for Mt. Diablo area afterschool programs in Pleasant Hill, CA. You will lead classroom activities, implement curriculum, and model YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Qualifikationen

• Meets CA state licensing requirements for CA Child Care facilities including prescribed ECE/GE/admin units.
• Ability to supervise and mentor staff in a school-based setting.
• Strong communication with parents and guardians about child development.

Aufgaben

• Plan and implement culturally relevant curriculum within guidelines; prepare supplies and lead staff.
• Provide direction to Assistant Teachers as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure program quality.
• Promote individual growth and exploration for children.
• Care for children’s health and well-being; administer first aid when necessary.
• Apply consistent, age-appropriate discipline methods.
• Report notable behavior to supervisor per policies.
• Assist Site Director with recruiting and scheduling.
• Maintain positive relationships with families and staff.
• Support administrative staff with data collection and reporting.
• Explain program standards to parents; conduct conferences and assessments.
• Maintain required program records.
• Attend program activities, trainings, meetings.
• Keep center clean and presentable; ensure licensing standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
