Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay in Pleasant Hill, CA, seeks an Assistant Site Director for Gregory Gardens Y-Kids ELOP. You will work closely with the Site Director to supervise children, plan activities, and support learning in small groups, upholding YMCA policies.

You will help open/close the site, supervise staff, maintain records, ensure safety, and coordinate with parents, while fostering a positive, healthy environment and adhering to licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA in Early Childhood Development preferred.
• 2 years of experience in professional child care or school-aged program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Director in developing and implementing a creative program and age-appropriate activities.
• Operate the site in the absence of the Site Director.
• Maintain supervision and interact with the assigned group at all times.
• Maintain forms, records and files requested by Site Director or Program Director.
• Ensure safety and licensing guidelines are followed.
